Princess slipper socks


Baby Slipper Socks

No Sew Baby Slipper Socks
Yarn: Patons Fairytale Colour for Me DK
Rowan Shimmer.

When using the Shimmer pull it out a bit so it unravels and becomes a thinner thread,  its easier to knit this way and looks more subtle.
Needles
4.5MM Straight
4mm DPN
Sole
Cast on 6
K1, Kfb, K to last 2, Kfb, K1 Repeat till there are 14 Stitches.
Work in Garter Stitch (all rows Knit) till piece measures 6cm.
Next Row: K1 K2tog, K to last 3, K2tog K1,
Repeat till 6 stitches remain.
Knit 1 row.
Cast off.
Make a 2nd
Top
From heel end count 17 Rows.
Place a stitch marker in each side of the 17th row
Pick up 1 stitch in each “bump” of the garter stitch rows along the edge, you need 12 stitches.
Knit 1 row.
Next Row: Knit 11, Slip last stitch off the left needle and then slip tip of left needle into loop of cast on edge, Slip last stitch back and Knit these two together. Turn work and Knit.
Repeat this until 18 rows have been worked.
The next bit is a little like a 3 Needle Bind Off.
Line the working needle and the edge up, matching the end with the stitch marker. Slip the right needle thought the working stitch and the edge and knit them together,
Repeat again and then cast off the first stitch.
Repeat till all stitches are cast off, finish off and weave in end.
Sock Part
Changing to 4mm DPN’s pick up
10 stitches over the front part,
6 up the side,
6 across the heel and
6 down the other side for a total of 28 Stitches. Mark beginning of the row.
Turn the toe part inside out.
Work all rows knit for 1 ½” -2” (I did 12 rows)
If needed you can add in some reductions to fit here, my Baby has chunky legs so I didn’t need to.
Cuff
This part is purely up to you.
Sparkly Moss Stitch
Knit 1” Moss Stitch, (I did 10 rows)
Moss stitch in the round is
Row 1 K1, P1
Row 2 P1, K1
So knit the purls and purl the knits.
Add Shimmer alongside the Patons and Knit ½” moss stitch to add a little bit of sparkle For Pretty Princess shoes.
Ribbing
Work 1”-2” in K2 P2 Rib or K1 P1 rib.
It’s up to you

Weave in all ends
Add a bow or a cute button for a extra bit of cuteness and then put them on the baby.
